Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tennessee Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, All Calza!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee is looking to clinch but Calza is avoiding it.
Calza shoots in but Lee avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Lee wants to clinch.
Lee clinches with his opponent.
Calza tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tennessee Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of All Calza.
Calza has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Calza has him pressed against the cage.
Lee wants to break the clinch but can't.
Calza has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lee lands a right hand that snaps the head of Calza backwards.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Calza keeps him there for the moment.
Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee closes the distance and clinches.
Lee lands with a light punch inside.
Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Calza misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lee works Calza's body with a nice hook.
Lee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Calza's head backwards.
Calza moves forwards but Lee connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee cracks Calza with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Calza tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Lee pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Calza is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tennessee Lee!
