Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Issac James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Issac James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Stevens! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
James drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. James pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stevens is keeping the position for now. Stevens wants to get back to his feet but James is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Stevens managing to control the position. James prevents Stevens from getting back to his feet. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. James stopping the sweep attempt from Stevens. Stevens is trying to keep James in close.
James slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Issac James just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Stevens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and James counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stevens is trying to stand.
Stevens looks gassed! James is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Stevens slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. James will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Stevens tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stevens throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

James closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stevens circles away. James takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. James scores with a takedown into Stevens's guard. Stevens is trying to keep James in close.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Stevens misses with a takedown and James counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stevens's guard now. Stevens is breathing heavily. James slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Stevens working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. James's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. James is thwarting Stevens's attempts to control the position. Stevens moves into full guard.

Issac James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stevens tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Stevens avoids the attempt from James to control.

Stevens is looking to stand but Stevens has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. James tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Issac James dominated that second round. That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
James instigates a clinch. Stevens tries to pull guard but James won't allow it.
James breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Issac James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James circles away from the clinch attempt.

James feints and as Stevens raises his hands in defense, James changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Stevens looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stevens working a defensive guard here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stevens keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Stevens rushes James and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. James is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Stevens can't get the takedown.
Stevens tries to break the clinch but James is controlling the position. Stevens tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. James just stands there and leans against the cage. Issac James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Stevens. Stevens is trying to stall.
Stevens has James pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. James manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Stevens breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. James is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stevens is trying to control the position from the bottom.

James can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stevens is looking to escape. Stevens tries to reverse the position but James maintains control.
And that's the end of the fight! Issac James showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for James, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
