Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Remington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Evans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams Jr.. The crowd seem to be enjoying Remington's choice of entrance music: Kymani Marley - Warriors. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Remington closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Evans did well to prevent Remington getting side control.
Remington not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Remington is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Evans defends it well.
Evans slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Evans manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Remington is desperately trying to improve his position but Evans has a good base and remains in mount.

Remington's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Remington is squirming around, avoiding Evans's attempts to control the action.

A big strike lands for Evans! That's really hurt Remington and he's turned his back - Evans keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Evans jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
