Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sokku Namazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Satellite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Namazu comes into the arena with Openning Naruto - Blue Bird blaring out of the sound system. Satellite comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ihop UK kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Sokku Namazu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sam Satellite's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sokku Namazu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Satellite! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Satellite fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Satellite scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Satellite lands a glancing blow to the side of Namazu's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Satellite scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Namazu is breathing heavily. Horrible takedown by Satellite or perhaps it was just good defense by Namazu which made him look bad. Satellite closes the distance and pushes Namazu back into the cage. Satellite ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Satellite no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Satellite is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Namazu drops back, looking for a kneebar! Satellite looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Satellite looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Satellite! Satellite tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Satellite decides to stand back up. Satellite steps back and let's Namazu get back to his feet. Satellite throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Satellite misses with a few strikes there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Satellite drives through and clinches with Namazu against the cage.

Satellite looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Namazu! Satellite unloading with bombs! Namazu is squirming around, avoiding Satellite's attempts to control the action. Satellite controlling the position easily from mount. That's four minutes gone in the round. Satellite with a couple of short strikes. Namazu tries to hold on but Satellite pushes him away. Satellite content just to control the position here. Namazu is looking to improve his position but Satellite isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Satellite looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Namazu avoids a strike by Satellite and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Satellite's guard! Fantastic escape!

Satellite scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Namazu bucks up and tries to throw Satellite off but instead Satellite has got his back! Namazu defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Satellite's arms. Satellite looking for the choke but no joy. Namazu has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Namazu wants to control his opponent's hands but Satellite gets his hands free. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Satellite has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Namazu's body.
Namazu is really stuck here.

Satellite is trying to stick to Namazu's back but Namazu is turning into Satellite. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Satellite's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Namazu. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Namazu wants to control from the top but Satellite keeps moving.

Satellite wants to clinch. Satellite moves into range and connects with a jab. Namazu on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Satellite. Satellite obviously looking to wear him down.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Satellite lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Namazu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Namazu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Sam Satellite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Satellite closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Namazu trying to hold on to Satellite's head to control him but Satellite postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Namazu is trying to maintain the position but Satellite is very close to passing his half guard.

Satellite trying to stand up but can't free himself from Namazu's guard. Namazu is trying to keep Satellite in close.
Namazu is really struggling to control Satellite but he's trying to hold on to the position. Satellite wants to pass the guard but Namazu is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Namazu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Satellite doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Satellite manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Namazu is trying to control the position but Satellite postures up. Satellite stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Namazu swivels though and keeps the full guard. Satellite must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Satellite postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Namazu has Satellite up against the cage in a clinch.
Namazu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Satellite is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Namazu to the mat. Namazu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Sokku Namazu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Satellite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Namazu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Satellite wants to pass the guard but Namazu is keeping the position. Sam Satellite is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Satellite trying to control the position from guard on top but Namazu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Satellite comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Satellite has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
