The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Botha.
Botha looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Allen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Allen is looking to clinch.
Botha throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Botha tries to keep at a distance but Allen has taken the fight into the clinch.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Botha shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Botha wants to stand but Allen is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Botha throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Allen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Good work by Allen as he checks the leg kick.
Botha throws a series of punches but Allen avoids them all with ease.
Botha misses with a double jab.
Allen with a lazy takedown attempt
and Botha counters with a nice low kick that buckles Allen 's knee momentarily.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.
Botha wants to break the clinch but can't.
Botha tries to score a body lock takedown but Allen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Allen wants the takedown. Botha is fighting it off but Allen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Botha's guard against the cage.
Botha wants to sweep but no luck.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Allen advances to half guard.
Botha tries to roll over but Allen keeps him under control.
Allen not landing any meaningful shots this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Allen slow jab from Botha misses its intended target.
Botha tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Allen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Botha won't be happy with that.

Allen has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Botha!

Allen scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Allen goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Botha turns into him and now he's in Allen 's guard.

Allen looking for a guillotine here but Botha defends easily.

Botha decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Allen , up you get!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Allen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Botha prevents Allen from taking his back.
Botha has given up his back here. Will Allen look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Botha is trying to defend against the choke here but Allen has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Allen Tightens the hold and Botha taps out furiously! Allen displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
