Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Aguirre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Popper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aguirre comes into the arena with Devlin - Giant blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danny Aguirre! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Popper! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popper closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aguirre to the mat! Aguirre manages to get full guard. Aguirre will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Popper trying to control but Aguirre is working from the bottom. Aguirre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Aguirre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Popper defends well. Aguirre looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Popper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Popper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Aguirre has his foot on Popper's thigh. Popper connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Aguirre some visible discomfort.
