The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
amoussou is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Diaz blocks a head kick by amoussou.
Diaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. amoussou looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Diaz looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Diaz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Diaz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diaz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diaz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by amoussou, who protects the arm well.

amoussou is trying to strike from the bottom but Diaz has passed into full mount.

amoussou is desperately trying to improve his position but Diaz has a good base and remains in mount.
amoussou is just holding on here. Diaz manages to take his back.
Diaz is not going to allow amoussou to sit and survive in this position.
amoussou really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diaz has his arm under amoussou's chin here. Game over son! Diaz squeezes tightly and amoussou is forced to tap out!
