Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rusty Barrow!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrow throws a body punch but Davis moves out of range.

Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Barrow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Barrow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davis.
Davis just misses with a punch to the body.

Barrow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Davis wants to control but Barrow is having none of it.
Barrow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Davis gets back to half guard.

Davis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Barrow is working away from the top position though.
Barrow wants to stand up but Davis is controlling the position.
Davis wants to control but Barrow is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Davis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Barrow closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Davis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Barrow has Davis pressed against the cage, preventing Davis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Barrow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Barrow darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barrow tries to stand but can't do so whilst Davis controls his leg.

Barrow stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Davis keeps the fight on the outside.
Davis throws a hook but Barrow blocks it.
Barrow misses with a takedown attempt - Davis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barrow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Barrow shoots in but no luck this time.

Barrow throws a right and a left that both miss.
Barrow shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chris Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rusty Barrow.
Davis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Davis thuds his right hand into Barrow's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Davis cracks Barrow with an uppercut from hell and Barrow crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Davis's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Barrow wants to stand and escape but Davis is having none of it.
Barrow is still in real trouble! Can Davis finish him?

Barrow seems to have recovered his senses.
Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barrow's guard.

Davis is looking for a kimura but Barrow is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davis to get the leverage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Barrow has managed to free his arm - good work.
Davis trying to control from half guard but Barrow is working away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Davis works his way into full mount!

Davis wants to finish this one by submission but Barrow is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Davis.

Rusty Barrow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Barrow shoots in looking for a takedown. Davis tries to sprawl out of it but Barrow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Davis. No joy for Barrow on that attempt.

Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Barrow. Barrow gets slowly back to his feet.
Chris Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rusty Barrow.
Barrow drops his hands momentarily and Davis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Barrow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Davis avoids it really well and circles away.

Davis clobbers Barrow with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Barrow has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Davis finds it's way round the side to connect with Barrow's head.
Davis cracks a nice hook into Barrow's ribs.
Davis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barrow sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davis somewhat.

Barrow takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Davis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barrow has time to react.
Davis scores with a jab. Barrow acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Barrow is looking to clinch but Davis is avoiding it.

and Davis counters with a nice uppercut.
Barrow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Davis lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Davis lands with a straight right. Barrow didn't see that one coming.
Davis throws a body punch but Barrow moves out of range.
Barrow gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Davis.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrow is looking to take a break and control but Davis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chris Davis showed his dominance in that final round.
