The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Noelan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fedor defending against the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fedor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Noelan defends it easily.
Noelan is in close to Fedor's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fedor keeping moving, preventing Noelan from controlling successfully.

Noelan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fedor has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Noelan has managed to get both his arms back between Fedor's legs - danger averted.

Noelan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fedor, up you get!
