Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Stillwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Con Dumas!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumas shoots in looking for a takedown. Stillwell tries to sprawl out of it but Dumas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stillwell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stillwell lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Con Dumas has been cut.
Dumas shoots in for a takedown but Stillwell shows good takedown defense.
Dumas walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Stillwell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Donk. Stillwell catches Dumas right on the button with a cross.
Stillwell lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dumas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stillwell but Stillwell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thomas Stillwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Con Dumas.
Stillwell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Dumas drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dumas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Left hook, right uppercut from Stillwell.
Dumas misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dumas looks gassed!
Dumas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Good exchange - Stillwell coming out on top.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dumas shoots in and drives through. Stillwell sprawls well.
Stillwell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Stillwell throws a combination. Dumas tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stillwell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dumas seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Stillwell shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Dumas is backing up but Stillwell catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Dumas covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Stillwell Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Stillwell!
