Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jiri Hyvonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eirik Sverd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyvonen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, One Morning Left - Jack The Flipper (Where's My Bodyguard?). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jiri Hyvonen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eirik Sverd! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hyvonen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sverd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hyvonen looking to control but instead Sverd has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Hyvonen wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Sverd uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Sverd has his foot on Hyvonen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hyvonen works his way back into a safe position though. Sverd throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hyvonen looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hyvonen trying to control the position from guard on top but Sverd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sverd is looking for a triangle but Hyvonen pushes his legs off easily.
Hyvonen tries to free his leg and advance position but Sverd is retaining full guard. Sverd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hyvonen is breathing heavily. Hyvonen wants to get back to full guard. Sverd is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hyvonen is not content to let Sverd control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hyvonen is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Hyvonen won't allow Sverd to pass to mount. Hyvonen is not content to let Sverd control the position. Hyvonen trying to control but Sverd postures up.
Hyvonen regains full guard. Nicely done. Hyvonen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sverd puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Sverd is working for a kimura but Hyvonen is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hyvonen controlling the position well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sverd prevents Hyvonen from improving his position. Hyvonen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hyvonen. Sverd tries to free his leg and advance position but Hyvonen is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hyvonen has control of Sverd's left arm, preventing Sverd from doing any damage. Hyvonen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sverd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sverd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hyvonen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sverd! Hyvonen controlling from the full mount. Hyvonen lands a big shot there that rocks Sverd but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jiri Hyvonen will probably get the nod. That's time! Hyvonen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hyvonen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sverd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hyvonen! Hyvonen is working to get back to half guard.
Hyvonen tries to control the position but Sverd now has his back.
Hyvonen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sverd on the ground. Hyvonen won't enjoy being in this position. Sverd looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Hyvonen is tapping - it's over boys! Sverd picks up the submission victory!
