Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ANDERSON SILVA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ANDERSON SILVA has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Bader! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, ANDERSON SILVA! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! SILVA wants to clinch up but Bader keeps it at a distance. Bader looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! SILVA shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bader as he jumps to the side. SILVA pushes Bader up against the cage in a clinch. SILVA has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bader avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bader manages to break the clinch.
SILVA gets a takedown into half guard. SILVA trying to control from half guard but Bader is working away. Bader pushes SILVA off looking to stand but SILVA dives back in and keeps control.
SILVA throwing shots but Bader is blocking nicely. SILVA is looking to take a break and control but Bader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. SILVA is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. SILVA is looking to advance position but Bader won't allow it. SILVA is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bader on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bader tries to get out of the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. SILVA cracks a nice hook into Bader's ribs. Ryan Bader seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. SILVA tries to clinch there but Bader circles away.
Ryan Bader is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bader tries to keep at a distance but SILVA has taken the fight into the clinch. SILVA breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A looping hook to the body misses from SILVA. Bader does a little dance to reset his feet. SILVA tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bader paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - SILVA looks like he's thinking about clinching though. SILVA shoots in looking for a takedown. Bader tries to sprawl out of it but SILVA keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bader manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ryan Bader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ANDERSON SILVA.
That's two minutes gone in the round. SILVA thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bader if he has to take too many more of those.
No joy there for Bader, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - SILVA looks like he's thinking about clinching though. SILVA fails with an attempt to clinch.
SILVA shoots for a double leg takedown but Bader sprawls well. He's pushed SILVA's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. SILVA scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. SILVA tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no SILVA has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bader wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bader on the wrong end of some ground and pound. SILVA is looking to take a break and control but Bader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. SILVA passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Bader! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bader is in a horrible position here. SILVA smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Bader really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. SILVA landing shots from mount. Bader knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for SILVA on the ground. SILVA working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. You get the feeling that Bader really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Bader is bucking up trying to escape but SILVA cracks him with another couple of good strikes. SILVA trying to control but Bader is having none of it. SILVA wants to finish this one by submission but Bader is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from SILVA. Bader trying desperately to get to his feet.
SILVA putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! SILVA landing punches. Bader bucks SILVA off and manages to get back to his feet! SILVA will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
ANDERSON SILVA dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
SILVA shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bader but Bader pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bader throws a nice looking combination but SILVA bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bader stuffs the takedown attempt from SILVA. SILVA gets slowly back to his feet. Ryan Bader is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. SILVA darts in and clinches Bader up against the cage. SILVA manages to break the clinch.
SILVA lands with a kick to the ribs.
SILVA tries to clinch but Bader is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bader keeps the fight on the outside. SILVA thows a body shot but no joy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. SILVA fails with a takedown attempt. Ryan Bader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ANDERSON SILVA. SILVA uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bader.
That's one minute gone in the round. SILVA stuns Bader with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Bader throws a right hand that SILVA ducks under and follows up with a left that SILVA also avoids with ease. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from SILVA. SILVA shoots for a takedown but Bader saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from Bader. No joy for SILVA on that attempt. Bader changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bader swinging wildly here.

SILVA throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bader's waist but Bader gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing SILVA off to one side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. SILVA shoots in but Bader avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bader looks to land a combination but SILVA avoids it well. SILVA moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. SILVA clinches with his opponent.

SILVA tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bader swivels and escapes. SILVA shoots in for a takedown but Bader shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. SILVA fails with an attempt to clinch.

and SILVA counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bader is refusing to be controlled, as SILVA sits in half guard. Bader pushes SILVA off looking to stand but SILVA dives back in and keeps control.
SILVA has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. SILVA is keen to just control but Bader is a slippery customer. Bader wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. SILVA wants to work for an arm triangle but Bader is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

ANDERSON SILVA showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Bader throws a series of strikes that have SILVA backpedaling.

SILVA stands and throws Bader's legs to the side, diving into side control. SILVA cracks Bader with an elbow. That is naaassty. Bader is looking to work his way out of this bad position but SILVA is controlling him well. SILVA has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bader! SILVA connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Bader wants to try and get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. SILVA scoring with strikes but Bader is staying in there. Bader squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
SILVA controlling from mount. SILVA trying to control but Bader is having none of it. SILVA with the ground and pound from mount. SILVA looking to control but Bader is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. SILVA breaks from Bader's wrist control and lands an elbow. ANDERSON SILVA has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bader squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
SILVA has control of Bader's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bader regains control of the situation pretty easily.

SILVA is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bader can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
A nice elbow there by SILVA. Ryan Bader has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bader is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
SILVA lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Bader is trying to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. SILVA trying to control but Bader is having none of it. SILVA landing strikes from the mount and Bader is in trouble! Bader is trying to stand up. SILVA is in the full mount, landing strikes. SILVA tries to control but Bader wriggling away. SILVA controlling his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. SILVA lands with some strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! ANDERSON SILVA comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well SILVA has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
