The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rafer keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away.

Rafer drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jones pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rafer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jones finds it's way round the side to connect with Rafer's head.

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rafer throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Jones leaves Rafer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Rafer counters with a three punch combo that has Jones backing up. Jones nods at Rafer to acknowledge the strikes.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.

Holdaen Rafer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jones's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jones duly obliges.
