Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donny Meyers Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Hands!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meyers Jr closes the distance and clinches.
Meyers Jr lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Eddie Hands has been cut.
Hands has had enough of the clinch but Meyers Jr keeps him there for the moment.

Hands has hold of one of Meyers Jr's legs. Meyers Jr is fighting the takedown attempt but Hands gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Meyers Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hands defends well.
Hands wants to get up but he can't break Meyers Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Meyers Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hands manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Meyers Jr manages to get himself to full guard.

Hands decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Meyers Jr, up you get!

Meyers Jr is squirming around, avoiding Hands's attempts to control the action.
Meyers Jr tries to hold on but Hands pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hands is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Meyers Jr has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Hands just misses with a punch to the body.
Meyers Jr tries to bum rush Hands with a series of wild strikes but Hands uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Hands moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hands breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Meyers Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Hands feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hands cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
