Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Chappers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos da Guia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). da Guia has chosen Saturate - Chemical Brothers as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Floyd Chappers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos da Guia! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! da Guia fakes the leg kick and cracks Chappers in the body. Chappers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. da Guia sprawls well initially but Chappers persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Chappers is looking to advance position but da Guia won't allow it. Chappers stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows da Guia to get to his feet. Floyd Chappers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. da Guia tries to close the distance and clinch but Chappers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. da Guia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chappers. Chappers looks to land a combination but da Guia avoids it well. Chappers scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Chappers trying to control the action but da Guia is working from the bottom. Chappers is sneakily working for an arm triangle but da Guia sees it coming and defends easily. Chappers trying to pass the guard but da Guia defending well.

Chappers wants to lay and pray for a moment but da Guia keeps working. da Guia is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chappers wants to take a breather but da Guia is having none of it. da Guia looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Chappers tries to score a power double leg takedown but da Guia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chappers somewhat. Chappers is breathing heavily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Chappers. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Floyd Chappers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. da Guia instigates a clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. da Guia with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The referee is keeping an eye on da Guia - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

da Guia has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chappers is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. da Guia lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. da Guia drags the fight down to the ground.
Chappers sitting in guard, not really doing much. da Guia is looking to stand up but Chappers isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Chappers slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Chappers looking to pass the guard. Chappers trying to control the position from guard on top but da Guia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chappers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Chappers tries for a takedown but da Guia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Chappers or perhaps it was just good defense by da Guia which made him look bad. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Floyd Chappers dominated that round. That's time! Chappers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
da Guia looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chappers misses with a double jab
and da Guia counters with a good low kick that Chappers was not able to check. Chappers has his takedown stuffed and da Guia counters by moving into the clinch. da Guia has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Chappers uses from the top position. Chappers looking to control the position here, rather than advance. da Guia kicks Chappers off and gets to his feet. Nice sprawl there from da Guia as Chappers shoots in. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

It looks like Floyd Chappers has been cut. The fight stays on the outside here - da Guia looks like he's thinking about clinching though. da Guia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chappers swats him away and circles back towards the center. da Guia misses with a few strikes there.
da Guia forces Chappers back against the cage and clinches. da Guia creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. da Guia utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. da Guia has picked Chappers up - he's going for a ride! da Guia dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. da Guia wants to control but Chappers is keeping him busy. Chappers tries to get to full guard but da Guia has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. da Guia is trying to control the action in half guard but Chappers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Despite being in the dominant position, Carlos da Guia just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. da Guia rushes Chappers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. da Guia is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Chappers letting da Guia take a breather here. da Guia keeps control of Chappers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. da Guia trying to land knees to the body.

Carlos da Guia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Floyd Chappers's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Chappers lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. da Guia ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. da Guia no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Chappers wants to control from the top but da Guia keeps moving. da Guia wants to stand and escape but Chappers is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. da Guia pushes Chappers off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. da Guia misses with a double jab
and Chappers counters with a nice uppercut. da Guia lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chappers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Carlos da Guia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. da Guia throws a series of punches but Chappers avoids them all with ease. da Guia slaps away a takedown attempt from Chappers, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Carlos da Guia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well da Guia has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
