The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trace throws a one two combo.

It looks like Ground N Pound has been cut.

Pound drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Pound working away.
Pound in side control, throwing shots but Trace defends.
Pound really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Trace parries the strikes from Pound easily there. Pound is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Trace to escape.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Trace scores with a nice strike.
Pound shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trace pinned against the cage. Trace gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Trace displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pound.
Jesus Trace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ground N Pound.

Trace paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Trace connects with a nice looking jab.

Pound circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Trace. Pound falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Trace!
