Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Reich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Colbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gustav Reich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Colbert! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reich throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Colbert. Colbert fails to land with a series of punches.
Colbert's corner calls for a 1-2. Colbert obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Reich tries for a takedown but Colbert sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Colbert scores with the left hand. Reich knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Gustav Reich has been cut. Reich shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Colbert defends it nicely. Colbert uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Reich.
Jab from Colbert. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reich misses with a straight left. Reich thows a body shot but no joy. Reich drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Colbert trying to control the position here. Colbert wants to sweep here but Reich controlling him for the moment. Reich pushing down on Colbert's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Colbert blocking the ground and pound attempt from Reich. Colbert blocking the ground and pound attempt from Reich. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reich misses with a head shot. Colbert uses the momentum to regain guard. Colbert is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reich is aware though and is defending well. Reich trying to control the position from guard on top but Colbert is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Colbert is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reich defends well. Reich pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Colbert is keeping the position for now. Reich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Colbert working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reich doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reich manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Colbert can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Reich controls the pace. That's three minutes gone in the round. Reich missing with a left hand there. Colbert was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Reich gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cain Colbert is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reich slips a jab from Colbert. Reich misses with a hook. Colbert ducked under it nicely. Reich swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Horrible takedown by Reich or perhaps it was just good defense by Colbert which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustav Reich. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Colbert throws out a powerful jab. Reich misses with a double jab
letting Colbert counter with a right hand. Colbert slips a straight right by Reich. Reich misses with a hook. Reich misses with a shot to the body and Colbert connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reich tries for a takedown but Colbert circles away easily and Colbert counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reich has his takedown stuffed and Colbert counters with a crisp right that sends Reich to the canvas! Colbert follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Colbert!
