Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rick Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petar Grgic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grgic has chosen Take Over Control as his entrance music. Rick Williams has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rick Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Petar Grgic! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Grgic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grgic tries to move into full mount but can't pass Williams's legs. Williams is not content to let Grgic control the position. Grgic looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Williams is avoiding damage well.
Grgic has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grgic closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Grgic breaks from the clinch.
Williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Williams wants to clinch but Grgic slips to the side and Grgic counters by moving into the clinch. Williams breaks the clinch.

Grgic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Grgic has just dragged him back down to the mat. Grgic misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Williams avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Grgic. Grgic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grgic lands a few punches from side control. Williams trying to remain calm as Grgic controls from the top position. Williams is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Grgic goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Williams rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Grgic's guard! Nice work there by Williams! Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Grgic is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams trying to stand up but can't free himself from Grgic's guard. Grgic throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Grgic has a closed guard, preventing Williams from standing up. Grgic trying to keep a closed guard but Williams is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Grgic shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Grgic looks gassed! Grgic throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Grgic tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range. Grgic looks to land a body kick but Williams moved away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Williams fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grgic manages to avoid it. Grgic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Williams counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Williams is trying to control. Grgic wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Grgic looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Williams trying to control the pace. Grgic tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Williams wants to pass to mount but Grgic is defending the position. Grgic avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Williams. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Petar Grgic will probably get the nod. That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Williams closes the distance but Grgic moves to the side and Grgic counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Williams! Grgic working for a submission but Williams is keeping him at bay. Grgic looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Williams tries to reverse the position but Grgic maintains control. Grgic is breathing heavily. Grgic is looking to work his way around to Williams's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Grgic is not going to allow Williams to sit and survive in this position. Williams staying busy and making it hard for Grgic to control. Williams has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Grgic. Will Grgic go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Williams rolls, trying to escape but Grgic keeps control of the position.

Grgic has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Williams has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grgic missing with punches from the back. Williams trying to get back to his feet but Grgic is in full control for now. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Grgic's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Williams controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Petar Grgic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Grgic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Grgic persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing. Grgic blocks a head kick by Williams.
Rick Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Williams has a takedown stuffed. Williams is looking to clinch. Williams tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Williams shoots in and drives through. Grgic sprawls well. Grgic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams, pushing him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grgic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petar Grgic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grgic fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Grgic circles away from the clinch attempt and Grgic counters with a body kick that stops Williams in his tracks momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams tries to clinch but fails miserably and Grgic counters by clinching up. Williams is trying to drag Grgic to the mat but Grgic just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Grgic ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Grgic no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Grgic is trying to keep Williams in close.
Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grgic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Grgic's legs - danger averted. Williams trying to control but Grgic is working from the bottom. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Grgic tries for a takedown but Williams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Williams fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams clinches but Grgic breaks the clinch and Grgic counters by moving into the clinch. Williams tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Grgic blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Williams drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Williams jumps guard but Grgic stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Williams pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Excellent takedown into side control there by Grgic. Grgic taking a break here but Williams is having none of it and regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grgic is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Grgic throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Rick Williams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Grgic is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Grgic. Williams looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Petar Grgic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Grgic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
