Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Wolf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Travis! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolf closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Travis tries to kick Wolf off but Wolf keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wolf seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Travis pushes Wolf off looking to stand but Wolf dives back in and keeps control.
Wolf thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Travis's head. Wolf tries to pass to full mount but Travis defends it. Travis looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Travis pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Travis should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Travis takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Travis in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Wolf takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Travis's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wolf trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Travis kicks Wolf off and gets to his feet. Travis wants to clinch. Travis fails with an attempt to clinch.
