The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voresch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. No joy there for Voresch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Penzinski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Voresch tries a head kick but it misses.
Penzinski throws and low kick but Voresch moves out of range easily. Penzinski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Penzinski lands in his opponent's guard. Penzinski stands up over Voresch, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Penzinski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Voresch swivels though and keeps the full guard. Penzinski with a flurry of punches that miss. Penzinski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Voresch should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Voresch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Voresch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penzinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Penzinski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Penzinski jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Penzinski connects with a couple of short punches. Voresch wants to stand up but Penzinski is controlling him. Voresch looks gassed! Penzinski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Voresch is keeping the position for now. Penzinski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Voresch manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Penzinski has Voresch in his guard. Penzinski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Penzinski had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Voresch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Penzinski Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Voresch's back instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Voresch is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Penzinski looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Voresch taps!
