Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Darkson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darkson darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Darkson manages to break the clinch.
Darkson slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Darkson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Darkson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Darkson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
You get the feeling that Silva really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Darkson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruce Darkson will probably get the nod.

Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Darkson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
