Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Bryan Ocampo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Schmoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Bryan Ocampo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Schmoe! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ocampo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Schmoe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ocampo somewhat. Schmoe has closed the distance and engaged Ocampo in a clinch.

A solid leg kick lands there for Schmoe.
Ocampo moves in looking to clinch but Schmoe pushes him off. Schmoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ocampo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Schmoe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Schmoe gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Ocampo manages to pull guard.

Schmoe decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ocampo, up you get! Ocampo fails in his attempt to clinch. Ocampo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schmoe.
Schmoe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ocampo did well to prevent Schmoe getting side control. Ocampo is breathing heavily. Ocampo won't allow Schmoe to pass to mount. Schmoe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ocampo is just riding it out for now. Schmoe eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmoe with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. I looks like Schmoe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Schmoe not landing any meaningful shots this time. Ocampo looking for a kimura from the bottom but Schmoe passes into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ocampo dodges the ground and pound from Schmoe. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Schmoe creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ocampo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Schmoe controlling the position. Let's hope that Schmoe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Schmoe decides to stand back up. Schmoe steps back and let's Ocampo get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schmoe throws a head kick that Ocampo semi-blocks.
Schmoe clinches up with Ocampo and pushes him back against the cage. Schmoe breaks the clinch.
A head kick misses from Schmoe. Ocampo shoots in looking for a takedown. Schmoe tries to sprawl out of it but Ocampo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schmoe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Bryan Ocampo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schmoe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Schmoe.
Schmoe scores with a punch to the head. Schmoe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Schmoe scores with a takedown into Ocampo's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schmoe stands and throws Ocampo's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ocampo looks to move to half guard but instead Schmoe has passed into mount! Damn! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Schmoe dominated that round. That's time! Ocampo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ocampo drops his hands momentarily and Schmoe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Ocampo is looking to clinch. Ocampo closes the distance but Schmoe moves to the side and Schmoe counters with a shoot takedown. Ocampo fights it but they end up in guard. Schmoe passes easily into side control. Nice work. Schmoe is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ocampo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Schmoe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmoe advances to mount. Schmoe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Schmoe controlling from mount. Ocampo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ocampo is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Schmoe thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Schmoe content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ocampo is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Schmoe throws a series of punches but Ocampo avoids them all with ease. Schmoe closes the distance and pushes Ocampo back into the cage. Schmoe lands a right hand. Schmoe pulls guard. Schmoe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Schmoe is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ocampo has his hands clasped together but Schmoe extends an breaks Ocampo's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Schmoe.
