Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Max Konev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murphy Mcdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonald dives in and grabs Konev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Konev pushes down on Mcdonald's head and hops out.

Konev is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mcdonald is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Konev goes for an armbar but Mcdonald turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mcdonald.

Konev is trying to hold Mcdonald in close to prevent damage but Mcdonald has managed to pass into half guard.
