Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis O Reily! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bento Bozano! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Reily wants to clinch up but Bozano keeps it at a distance. Bozano closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming O Reily to the mat! O Reily manages to get full guard. Bozano is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bozano drops back looking for a leg! O Reily is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Reily manages to kick Bozano off! Bozano jumps back into O Reily's guard. Bozano tries to free his leg and advance position but O Reily is retaining full guard. Bozano drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bozano jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bozano stops O Reily from standing up. Bozano controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Reily wants to stand and escape but Bozano is having none of it. Bozano postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. O Reily knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bozano on the ground. O Reily is breathing heavily. Bozano distracts O Reily with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bozano is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bozano trying to control the position from guard on top but O Reily is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bozano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bozano tries to free his leg and advance position but O Reily is retaining full guard. Bozano controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bozano has gone for a leg lock! O Reily slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bozano's guard. O Reily got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bozano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, O Reily has managed to get both his arms back between Bozano's legs - danger averted. Bozano managing to control the position. Bozano is looking for a triangle but O Reily pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bozano is on top in guard.
Bozano drops back looking for a leg! O Reily is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Reily manages to kick Bozano off! Bozano jumps back into O Reily's guard. Bozano tries to free his leg and advance position but O Reily is retaining full guard. Bozano working some strikes from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bozano advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bozano with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Bozano seems to be looking for submissions.
Bozano is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bozano working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bento Bozano dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bozano shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. O Reily is trying to defend but Bozano finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bozano is working for a submission of some sort.
Bozano has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. O Reily is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bozano looking to isolate an arm here. O Reily doesn't see it coming and as Bozano extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Bozano!
