Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Richmond Blackz!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackz misses with the combination.
Palhares shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A punch combination from Blackz misses.
Blackz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Blackz misses with a two punch combination.
Blackz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blackz throws a series of punches but Palhares moves out of range.
Palhares tries to land a front kick but Blackz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Palhares closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Palhares passes to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palhares is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Blackz is trying to escape and Palhares transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Blackz is forced to tap! Nice work there by Palhares! Very nice indeed!
