Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipino drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Filipino tries to free his leg and advance position but Volti is retaining full guard.
Filipino stays in close to Volti's body and controls the position.
Volti has momentary wrist control but Filipino slips an elbow through the middle.
Volti is working an open guard so Filipino takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Filipino shoots in looking for a takedown. Volti tries to sprawl out of it but Filipino keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Volti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Volti connects with a nice short shot to Filipino's temple.

That's time! Filipino's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Volti digs a right hand into Filipino's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Filipino's gas tank.
Volti lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Filipino's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Filipino is fighting to break Volti's control of his arms but Volti is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Filipino drops back, looking for a kneebar! Volti looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Volti looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Volti!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Filipino is trying to improve his position.

Filipino struggling a bit here.
Volti has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Volti clinches up with Filipino and pushes him back against the cage.
Volti is working Filipino over against the cage.
Volti breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Filipino wants to lay and pray for a moment but Volti keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Filipino wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Volti, who protects the arm well.
Filipino is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Volti has escaped the position, nice work there.
Filipino trying to control the action but Volti is working from the bottom.
Filipino creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Volti sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Filipino tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Filipino will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Volti is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Filipino off and has taken his back!
Volti is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Filipino manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Filipino.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck for Volti with that takedown attempt.

Adriano Volti showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Filipino has his foot on Volti's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Volti works his way back into a safe position though.

Well Volti has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
