Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Quall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quall comes to the cage accompanied by Beach Blast. The crowd seem to be enjoying Banner's choice of entrance music: xavier rudd - energy song. James Quall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bruce Banner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Quall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Banner! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Banner misses with a wild body shot. James Quall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banner takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Banner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quall napping and manages to drive through into side control! Banner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Quall is trying to escape the position but Banner is controlling the position. Quall is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Banner looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Quall is avoiding damage well.
Quall tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Banner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Banner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Banner misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Quall is looking to reverse the position. Banner is working Quall over with some ground and pound from side control. Quall tries to improve position but can't. Quall wants to control but Banner postures up. Quall is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banner slows the pace down. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banner is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Quall looks calm but he's in trouble here. Banner gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Quall is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Banner lets go of the hold and Quall can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bruce Banner!
