Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom SMith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom SMith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mamed Khalidov! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! SMith has a takedown stuffed. SMith moves into the clinch. SMith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. SMith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Khalidov pushes SMith off looking to stand but SMith dives back in and keeps control.
SMith trying to pass the guard but Khalidov defending well. Khalidov is trying to maintain the position but SMith is very close to passing his half guard. Khalidov tries to regain full guard. Instead though, SMith has advanced to mount. Uh oh. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. SMith lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

SMith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. SMith putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Khalidov working to try and regain half guard.
SMith could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. SMith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Khalidov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. SMith sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. SMith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khalidov on the ground. Khalidov tries to hold on but SMith pushes him away. SMith working away from the top, dropping strikes. Khalidov looks gassed! A nice elbow there by SMith. Khalidov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. SMith controlling the pace for now.

Tom SMith dominated that round. That's time! SMith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Khalidov with a lazy takedown attempt and SMith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by SMith.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Tom SMith just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. SMith scores a takedown into full mount! SMith has hold of Khalidov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Khalidov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Khalidov throws a strike from the bottom but SMith uses the opportunity to take his back. SMith working for the choke. Khalidov tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. SMith breaks from Khalidov's wrist control and lands an elbow. SMith dominating with strikes here. SMith controlling the pace for now. SMith landing punches. Khalidov working to try and regain half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. SMith's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Khalidov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

SMith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom SMith dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
SMith steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Khalidov. That one must have hurt. SMith lands a head kick!
Khalidov delivers a nice body kick. Khalidov doesn't succeed with the takedown and SMith counters by moving into the clinch. Khalidov tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
SMith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. SMith misses with a low kick as Khalidov jumps back. SMith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. SMith stands up and beckons Khalidov to his feet. SMith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khalidov was well out of range. Poor timing from SMith. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. SMith misses the shot to the body. Khalidov closes the distance looking to clinch and SMith counters into the clinch. Nicely done. SMith decides to pull guard. Khalidovis looking to pass into half guard but SMith pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now SMith is in guard. Tom SMith overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Khalidov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and SMith manages to pass to side control. Khalidov flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. SMith throws a series of punches but Khalidov avoids them all with ease. Tom SMith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Khalidov tries to grapple but his opponent circles and SMith counters by clinching up. Khalidov is trying to maintain a safe position but SMith gets an underhook and turns Khalidov into the cage. Khalidov drops down looking for an ankle pick but SMith pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. SMith wants to take a breather but Khalidov is having none of it. Khalidov makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! SMith is looking to chop away at Khalidov's legs. Khalidov leaves SMith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. SMith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. SMith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Khalidov can do to turn this around? SMith prevents Khalidov from improving his position. Mamed Khalidov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tom SMith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Khalidov looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom SMith showed his dominance in that final round. Well SMith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
