Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gustav Perchorski!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Romero gets a takedown into half guard.
Romero winds up and cracks Perchorski with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Romero seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perchorski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Romero looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Perchorski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Romero is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Perchorski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Perchorski wants to get back to his feet.
Romero has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Romero is trying to control. Perchorski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Romero seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Romero lands a nice short elbow.
Romero is keen to just control but Perchorski is a slippery customer.
Perchorski has hold of Romero's hands but Romero slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perchorski wants to get back to his feet.
Romero wants to pass the guard but Perchorski is defending well.
Perchorski pushes Romero off looking to stand but Romero dives back in and keeps control.
Perchorski is not content to let Romero control the position.
Romero is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Romero seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perchorski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Romero takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Romero wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perchorski keeps working.
Romero is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Perchorski should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Romero is landing with some decent strikes but Perchorski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Romero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like Gustav Perchorski has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Romero lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Romero wants to control the pace but Perchorski is squirming around nicely.

BOOM! Romero connects with a massive shot to the dome!


That has opened up Gustav Perchorski's cut even more.
Romero lands a big elbow.


Gustav Perchorski's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gustav Perchorski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Cesar Romero!
