The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soszynski shoots in for a takedown but Arkley shows good takedown defense.
Soszynski fails with the takedown.
Soszynski tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Soszynski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Arkley circles away.

Soszynski moves in looking to clinch but Arkley pushes him off.

Soszynski shoots for a double leg takedown but Arkley sprawls well. He's pushed Soszynski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Soszynski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soszynski wants to take a breather but Arkley is having none of it.

Arkley is controlling Soszynski's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Arkley cracks Soszynski with a good jab.

Arkley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Soszynski.
Soszynski will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arkley clobbers Soszynski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Arkley swings for the body but Soszynski moves out of range.

Arkley dances in with a quick combination. Soszynski is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Arkley snaps Soszynski's head back. Soszynski stumbles backwards against the cage. Arkley steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Soszynski's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Soszynski just didn't come prepared.
