The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Pride of Mexico tries to close the distance and clinch but Ruis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The Pride of Mexico dodges the punch combination from Ruis.
Ruis forces The Pride of Mexico back against the cage and clinches.
Ruis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics The Pride of Mexico uses from the top position.
