Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Pronasis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Pronasis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks blocks a head kick by Pronasis.

Brooks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pronasis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pronasis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brooks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pronasis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Brooks throws an elbow but Pronasis slips to the side and avoids it well.

Brooks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brooks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Brooks postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Pronasis wants to get back to his feet but Brooks drags him back down.
Brooks throws an elbow but Pronasis slips to the side and avoids it well.

Brooks tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brooks has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brooks throwing strikes but Pronasis manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Brooks is trying to control Pronasis's posture but Pronasis avoids it.
Pronasis is looking to take a break and control but Brooks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pronasis wants to stand but Brooks is controlling his arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brooks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pronasis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Brooks stays in close to Pronasis's body and controls the position.
I looks like Brooks might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Brooks takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Brooks has closed the distance and engaged Pronasis in a clinch.

Brooks tries to clinch up but Pronasis circles away and keeps his distance.
Brooks blocks the body kick.

Brooks darts in and clinches Pronasis up against the cage.
Brooks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pronasis smiles and moves away.
Pronasis fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Brooks avoids the head kick by Pronasis.
Patrick Pronasis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brooks looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brooks is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pronasis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pronasis keeps the fight on the outside.

Brooks moves into the clinch successfully.
Brooks is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pronasis pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Brooks shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brooks showed some decent athleticism there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pronasis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Pronasis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Pronasis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Brooks has a takedown stuffed.
Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch but Pronasis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pronasis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brooks on the ground.

Brooks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pronasis's half guard.
Brooks wants to take a breather but Pronasis is having none of it.

Brooks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Brooks looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pronasis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Brooks misses with a head shot. Pronasis uses the momentum to regain guard.
Brooks postures up in Pronasis's guard and throws a big left but Pronasis blocks it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pronasis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brooks.
Brooks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brooks prevents Pronasis from getting back to his feet.

Brooks stands and steps away. Pronasis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pronasis throws a chopping leg kick but Brooks manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Brooks moves in looking to clinch but Pronasis pushes him off.
Brooks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Brooks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pronasis was covering up waiting for the punch and Brooks finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Pronasis wants to stand and escape but Brooks is having none of it.
Brooks is pushing down on Pronasis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pronasis is fighting to maintain full guard but Brooks has managed to sneak the leg through.
Brooks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pronasis's head.
Brooks uses his free foot to push down on Pronasis's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pronasis.

Brooks throwing strikes here but Pronasis is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Brooks throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Pronasis because Brooks loaded up on that one.

Phil Brooks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brooks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
