Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boston Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Moralez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moralez has chosen "Stonebreaker" by Corrosion Of Conformity as his entrance music. Pablo Moralez looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boston Dean!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pablo Moralez!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Moralez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dean fails to land the takedown.
Dean throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moralez's corner calls for a 1-2. Moralez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pablo Moralez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moralez throws a sloppy head kick and Dean moves out of range easily.
Moralez on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dean showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Moralez.
Dean looks for a takedown but Moralez sprawls well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Moralez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dean is controlling him.
Dean throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dean stands up from Moralez's guard - Dean perhaps looking for a knockout.
Dean looks for a takedown but Moralez sprawls well.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Dean counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dean.

Dean stands up and waves to Moralez to follow him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Moralez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dean's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dean is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Moralez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dean is pushing down on Moralez's leg trying to pass to half guard. Moralez is fighting to maintain full guard but Dean has managed to sneak the leg through.
Well, if Dean is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Moralez on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Dean lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Dean is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moralez sees it coming and defends easily.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dean is in close to Moralez's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Dean decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dean throws a combination. Moralez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Dean shoots in but Moralez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Moralez gets caught flat footed, as Dean shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dean is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Moralez's shoulder. That is not cool.

Moralez is squirming around, avoiding Dean's attempts to control the action.
Dean takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Dean lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Moralez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
