Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bing Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Iwasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, NokiSowa. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bing Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Iwasaki!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Boom is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boom works his foot free and advances to mount.

Boom wants to finish this one by submission but Iwasaki is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Boom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boom goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Iwasaki is on top in guard.

Boom has his foot on Iwasaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Iwasaki works his way back into a safe position though.

Iwasaki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Boom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Boom closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Iwasaki's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Boom is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Iwasaki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Iwasaki pushes Boom away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Boom gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Boom decides to stand back up. Boom steps back and let's Iwasaki get back to his feet.
Iwasaki lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Boom drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Iwasaki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Boom has Iwasaki in his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Iwasaki parries the strikes from Boom easily there. Boom is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Iwasaki to escape.

Boom swings around for an armbar but Iwasaki sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boom's guard.
Iwasaki wants to get up but he can't break Boom's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Boom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Iwasaki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Iwasaki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bing Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iwasaki tries to land a front kick but Boom steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Boom shoots in and bounces Iwasaki off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Iwasaki is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Boom drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Iwasaki dives on top into guard.

Iwasaki throws a right hand that Boom ducks under and follows up with a left that Boom also avoids with ease.

Iwasaki is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Boom shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Iwasaki as he jumps to the side.

Boom closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Iwasaki to the mat! Iwasaki manages to get full guard.

Iwasaki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Iwasaki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Iwasaki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Boom has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Iwasaki is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Boom.
Bing Boom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bing Boom will probably get the nod.

Boom shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Iwasaki pinned against the cage. Iwasaki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Iwasaki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Iwasaki throws a nice looking combination but Boom bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boom shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Iwasaki as he avoids it easily.

Iwasaki throws a combination. Boom tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Boom shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Iwasaki's guard.
