Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Crocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crocker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Britney Spears - Gimme More kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Crocker! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz fails with the takedown. Nice takedown defense from Crocker. No joy for Cruz on that attempt. Cruz scores a takedown into full mount! Cruz throwing strikes here but Crocker is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cruz avoids the attempt from Crocker to control. Cruz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Crocker manages to avoid the submission attempt. Crocker holding on. Crocker regains half guard, as Cruz was trying to land strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz is keen to just control but Crocker is a slippery customer. Cruz is looking for a kimura but Crocker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cruz to get the leverage. Cruz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crocker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Crocker is holding on to half guard well. Cruz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cruz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Crocker is just riding it out for now. Cruz eventually gives up the hold. Crocker is positioning himself well to prevent Cruz advancing to mount. Crocker manages to escape and get back to his feet! Crocker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Crocker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Crocker gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Crocker throws and elbow that misses. Cruz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Crocker's guard. Nice move by Cruz!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crocker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cruz. Cruz won't allow Crocker to get back to his feet. Cruz postures up in Crocker's guard and throws a big left but Crocker blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cruz won't allow Crocker to get back to his feet. Cruz preventing the sweep. Cruz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cruz wants to control from the top but Crocker keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Cruz gets the takedown into side control. Cruz taking a break here but Crocker is having none of it and regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cruz thows a huge punch but Crocker dodges it nicely.
Crocker kicks off Cruz and gets to his feet. Crocker moves into the clinch. Crocker lands a shoulder strike. Crocker turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Crocker manages to end up in side control. Crocker in side control, throwing shots but Cruz defends. Cruz looking for a sweep but Crocker has passed into full mount! Oh no! Cruz is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Crocker dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Crocker throws a nice looking combination but Cruz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Cruz fails with a takedown attempt. Cruz shoots for a double leg takedown but Crocker sprawls well. He's pushed Cruz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Crocker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crocker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cruz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cruz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cruz showed some decent athleticism there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Crocker can do anything to dispel that myth. Cruz stalling away here and it's allowed Crocker to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Cruz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Crocker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Crocker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Crocker! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cruz seems a little lost for a moment, as Crocker dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crocker decides to stand back up. Crocker steps back and let's Cruz get back to his feet. Crocker scores with a takedown into Cruz's guard. Cruz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Crocker advances to half guard. Crocker lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Crocker controlling the action here. The fighters are battling for position here. Cruz manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crocker is stalling in the full guard. Cruz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Crocker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Crocker throws a big right hand that misses. Crocker trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cruz working a defensive guard but Crocker passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crocker sitting and controlling from the half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crocker connects with a nice short shot to Cruz's temple. Cruz trying to control but Crocker postures up.
Chris Crocker has got the better of the ground game so far. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crocker in particular looking to stall. Cruz is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Cruz is trying to maintain the position but Crocker is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Crocker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Cruz won't allow Crocker to pass to mount. The fighters are battling for position here. Cruz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Crocker slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Crocker controls the position from side control. Crocker scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cruz to see if he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Crocker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Crocker wants to control from the top but Cruz keeps moving. Crocker wants to stand but Cruz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cruz controls Crocker momentarily but Crocker frees himself. Cruz keeping moving, preventing Crocker from controlling successfully. Cruz has momentary wrist control but Crocker slips an elbow through the middle.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cruz's head. Crocker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Crocker stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cruz drives through with a takedown into guard. Crocker keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Cruz looking to sit in guard and control but Crocker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Crocker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crocker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cruz is looking to sweep but instead, Crocker has passed into half guard.
Pedro Cruz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chris Crocker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Crocker is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Crocker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Crocker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
