Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trev Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Johnson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trev Gable! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Johnson! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gable scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. Gable tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well. Gable misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Gable throwing strikes but Johnson manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gable keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gable wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gable closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Johnson to the mat! Johnson manages to get full guard. Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gable looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gable is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Johnson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Johnson trying to control the position from guard on top but Gable is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gable wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him.

Gable wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Gable is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gable has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gable throws a big right hand that misses. Gable loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gable drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gable has Johnson in his guard. Johnson looks gassed! Gable wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gable has his feet on Johnson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Johnson tries for a takedown but Gable circles away easily and Gable counters with a takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trev Gable dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gable stands up out of the half guard. Johnson is breathing heavily. Gable fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Gable persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gable not landing any meaningful shots this time. Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gable. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gable shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Gable sits in half guard. Gable is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Johnson defends it well. Gable thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gable is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gable looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Gable knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. Gable is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Gable looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trev Gable dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Gable drives through with a takedown into guard. Gable throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gable drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Johnson dives on top into guard. Gable keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Gable gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gable lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johnson is working an open guard so Gable takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gable scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Johnson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gable's best efforts. Gable is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gable wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gable is working hard here to advance position. Gable lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Gable is trying to work for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Gable is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gable throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gable thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gable. Gable working the body and head with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gable controlling the position from side mount. Check out the look on Gable's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

The ground and pound from Gable seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Gable tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well. Jack Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Trev Gable is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gable takes a little break here. Johnson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
And that's the end of the fight! Trev Gable showed his dominance in that final round. Well Gable has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
