Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kazuki Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edwin Valero! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Valero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Valero walks forward, straight into a front kick from Williams. Valero throws a lazy right hand but Williams sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Williams misses with a double jab.

and Williams counters with a nice kick to the body. Valero falls off balance throwing a combination
and Williams counters with a nice leg kick. Valero tries to land a body kick and Williams counters by moving into the clinch. Valero looks gassed! Williams wants a takedown.
Williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Williams changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Valero fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Williams connects with a high kick. Valero throws a combination that misses and Williams counters with a nice body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams lands a big head kick that sends Valero tumbling to the mat! Williams takes a step backwards and waves Valero back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Valero is rocked! Williams tries to clinch up but Valero circles away and keeps his distance. Valero is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him? Valero misses with a double jab
and Williams counters with a flying knee that drops Valero!
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams advances position into side control! Williams stands up and we're back to a striking position. Valero seems to have recovered his senses. Valero misses with a body punch
and Williams counters with a series of strikes. Valero will be more careful next time no doubt. Williams is looking to clinch. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Valero swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valero tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valero to the ground. Valero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazuki Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Valero throws a left and a right that both miss
and Williams counters with a big head kick but Valero shrugs it off. Williams tries to clinch there but Valero circles away.
Edwin Valero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Valero paws at him with a jab and circles away. Williams fails with a takedown attempt. Williams plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Valero misses with a double jab
and Williams counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Valero is lucky that one didn't land flush. Williams scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Williams working the ground and pound but Valero is defending the strikes. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Valero keeps working. Valero wants to get back to his feet but Williams drags him back down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Valero down.
Valero tries to escape back to his feet but Williams has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Valero's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Valero is tapping! Williams saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kazuki Williams!
