Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Milosz Pawlowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pawlowski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jackson. Pawlowski throws a half hearted mid kick. Pawlowski walks into a jab. Pawlowski misses with a few strikes there.
Good standup being displayed there by Jackson as he connects with a hook. Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Jackson gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pawlowski punching from the bottom.
Jackson works his way into full mount! Pawlowski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jackson working Pawlowski over with strikes here. Pawlowski is trying desperately to improve position. Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jackson unloading with bombs! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pawlowski takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson with good strikes from the mount here! Jackson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jackson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pawlowski looks a forlorn figure.
Pawlowski is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action. Jackson is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Jackson working Pawlowski over with strikes here. Jackson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Jackson is landing with some decent strikes but Pawlowski is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pawlowski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jackson lands a big elbow. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jackson cracks Pawlowski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This has been an exciting period of action! Jackson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson lands a big shot to the head and Pawlowski winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
