Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between carl conditt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and cyril grenfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). cyril grenfield will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, carl conditt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, cyril grenfield!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
grenfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around conditt's waist but conditt gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing grenfield off to one side.
conditt shoots in and bounces grenfield off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
grenfield is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
grenfield is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
conditt controlling from the top position.
conditt gets to his feet. grenfield looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
grenfield throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
conditt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

grenfield closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - grenfield lands in his opponent's guard.
conditt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
grenfield looking to sit in guard and control but conditt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

conditt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

conditt moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, grenfield has worked his arm free - good work by grenfield!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
conditt prevents grenfield from standing back up.
grenfield looks gassed!
conditt is keen to just control but grenfield is a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

conditt has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

conditt drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

grenfield is positioning himself well to prevent conditt advancing to mount.
conditt wants to stand but grenfield has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

and conditt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

conditt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. grenfield is working away from the top position though.
conditt preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
grenfield jumps guard and drags conditt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

grenfield manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. conditt manages to get himself to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now conditt is on top in guard.

conditt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

conditt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
conditt wants to get up but he can't break grenfield's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

conditt connects with a couple of short punches.
