Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, karl anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, whats that aboot! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! aboot gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard. anderson throwing strikes from guard but aboot blocks nicely. anderson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but aboot has wrist control. anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but aboot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. aboot wants to get back to his feet but anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. aboot trying to control the position.
anderson pushes down on aboot's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. anderson is looking to advance position but aboot won't allow it. anderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. anderson clinches. aboot digs a right hand into anderson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on anderson's gas tank. anderson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but aboot pulls him back up using the underhooks. aboot lands an elbow just above anderson 's eye.
It looks like karl anderson has been cut. aboot changes levels and goes for a takedown here. anderson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
aboot rushes anderson and presses him up against the cage. anderson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. anderson pulls aboot in close to his closed guard and prevents aboot from doing any damage or advancing position. anderson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
anderson wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. anderson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

aboot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. anderson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. aboot preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. anderson wriggles free and stands up. aboot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
anderson has managed to clinch.
anderson wants a takedown.
A bit of stalling here from anderson.
anderson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. aboot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and anderson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. aboot looks gassed! aboot is trying to maintain the position but anderson is very close to passing his half guard. anderson trying to pass the guard but aboot defending well. anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

anderson stuffs the takedown. aboot fails with the takedown and anderson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. anderson moves nicely into side control. anderson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear aboot down.

Let's see what he's got on the ground. Still in half guard, anderson seems content to control. anderson uses his free foot to push down on aboot's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for aboot. anderson dominating with strikes here. anderson looking to control and managing it successfully. anderson landing strikes from the mount and aboot is in trouble!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, anderson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! aboot taking shots to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. anderson landing shots from mount. anderson looking for a guillotine from mount but aboot is having none of it. aboot is bucking up trying to escape but anderson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

aboot stalling in the clinch but anderson improves position. aboot takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. anderson slowing the pace effectively.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for karl anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says aboot as he avoids it easily. anderson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. anderson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. anderson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and aboot defends it well. anderson is taking a breather. aboot says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. anderson connects with a nice short shot to aboot's temple. anderson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. anderson slips a nice elbow through aboot's hands, connecting with aboot's forehead. anderson not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. aboot tries to get to full guard but anderson has control of the leg. anderson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
anderson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. aboot blocking the ground and pound attempt from anderson. anderson escapes and gets back to his feet. A right-left combo lands from anderson. anderson has closed the distance and engaged aboot in a clinch.
anderson is struggling to control the position. anderson wants a takedown.
aboot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. anderson clinches. anderson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but aboot regains guard immediately. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. anderson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! karl anderson showed his dominance in that final round. Well anderson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
