Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Evans might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I need Scissors!. Mousasi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pweization. Gegard Mousasi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans throws a looping overhand right but Mousasi ducks down to avoid it.
Chris Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mousasi closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Mousasi lands a right hook to the body.
Mousasi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Evans throws the left hand but Mousasi avoids the punch easily.

and Mousasi counters with a straight right hand.

and Mousasi counters with a left and a right that stings Evans.
Mousasi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mousasi moves out of range of the strikes.

Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mousasi.

Evans throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mousasi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Evans throws a jab but it's blocked by Mousasi.
Some wild striking there from Evans.
Evans missing with a left hand there. Mousasi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Evans jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Evans throws a predictable looking body shot
and Mousasi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Evans lands the left hand.
Evans throws a hook but Mousasi avoids it easily.

Mousasi lands with a good body shot.
Evans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Evans swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mousasi counters with a nice uppercut.
Evans thows a leg kick but Mousasi checks it
and Mousasi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Mousasi stuns Evans with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mousasi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Evans rather than just go for the knockout.

Mousasi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mousasi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Evans was well out of range. Poor timing from Mousasi.

and Mousasi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Evans is rocked!
Mousasi ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Evans out cold! The fight is over!
