Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Shalbek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard STAM (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). STAM has chosen Tony Iommi - Grace as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Leonard STAM has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Vladimir Shalbek's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
STAM fails with the takedown.
STAM dives in and grabs Shalbek's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shalbek pushes down on STAM's head and hops out.
STAM shoots in but no luck this time.
Vladimir Shalbek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonard STAM.
Shalbek uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before STAM has time to react.
STAM tries to move into range but Shalbek moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
STAM shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

STAM is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shalbek is just riding it out for now. STAM eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
STAM is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Shalbek loads up on a big right hand but STAM slips the punch.
STAM closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - STAM lands in his opponent's guard.

STAM missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Shalbek pulls STAM in close to his closed guard and prevents STAM from doing any damage or advancing position.

STAM drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shalbek dives on top into guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shalbek is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
STAM is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shalbek is aware though and is defending well.
STAM working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shalbek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shalbek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Shalbek works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Shalbek seems to be looking for submissions.
Shalbek tries to pass the half guard into mount. STAM knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

STAM slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Shalbek is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but STAM has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shalbek is looking to defend but STAM has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shalbek! STAM pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shalbek taps out and this one is all over!
