Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandor Cleagen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rex Sawyer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rex Sawyer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rex Sawyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sandor Cleagen! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Sawyer or perhaps it was just good defense by Cleagen which made him look bad. Cleagen misses with a takedown and Sawyer counters with a stiff right hand. Cleagen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Cleagen wants to pass the guard but Sawyer is defending well. Sawyer tries to roll over but Cleagen keeps him under control. Sawyer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cleagen. Cleagen working the head and body with strikes. Sawyer is trying to get back to full guard. Sawyer wants to control but Cleagen is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Cleagen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sawyer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sawyer is keen to just control but Cleagen is a slippery customer. Cleagen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sawyer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cleagen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Sawyer throwing shots but Cleagen is blocking nicely. Cleagen has a hand on Sawyer's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sawyer takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Sawyer wants to control the pace but Cleagen is squirming around nicely. Sawyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cleagen is looking to improve his position but Sawyer isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cleagen's face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cleagen working to try and regain half guard.

Rex Sawyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandor Cleagen. Sawyer lands a takedown into guard.
Cleagen has a closed guard, preventing Sawyer from standing up. Cleagen keeping moving, preventing Sawyer from controlling successfully. Sawyer preventing the sweep. Sawyer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Cleagen is proving hard to escape from. Sawyer gets to his feet - Cleagen follows without any prompting. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sawyer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cleagen is desperately trying to improve his position but Sawyer has a good base and remains in mount. Sawyer with good strikes from the mount here! Sawyer is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Cleagen has his takedown stuffed and Sawyer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sawyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cleagen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Cleagen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rex Sawyer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sawyer scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Cleagen fails with a takedown attempt. Sawyer has his takedown stuffed and Cleagen counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cleagen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Sawyer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sawyer trying to control the position.
Sawyer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cleagen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sawyer looking for a guillotine here but Cleagen defends easily.
Cleagen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rex Sawyer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer controls Cleagen momentarily but Cleagen frees himself.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sawyer throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Rex Sawyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sawyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cleagen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sawyer's guard now. Sawyer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cleagen prevents Sawyer from getting back to his feet. Cleagen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sawyer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cleagen has managed to get both his arms back between Sawyer's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cleagen is controlling him. Cleagen is working Sawyer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Sawyer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sawyer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Cleagen wants to sweep but Sawyer has passed to side control! Cleagen seems a little lost for a moment, as Sawyer dominates the positioning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sawyer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cleagen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sawyer trying to control the position but Cleagen is working away. Sawyer gets to mount! Cleagen was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Cleagen wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Cleagen tries to break free.
Cleagen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Sawyer lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Cleagen hold on?!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sawyer is persistently looking for the submission but Cleagen is defending it well.
Sawyer wants to control but Cleagen is keeping busy. Cleagen manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sawyer's guard. Nice work there by Cleagen.
Sawyer scores with a nice shot. Cleagen stopping the sweep attempt from Sawyer. Sawyer scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sawyer's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sawyer duly obliges. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rex Sawyer dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Sawyer bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Sawyer trying to control the position but Cleagen is working away. Sawyer wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cleagen, who protects the arm well. Sawyer tries for a kimura but Cleagen is defending well. Cleagen is trying to improve his position. Sawyer is looking to take a break and control but Cleagen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cleagen gets back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sawyer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cleagen defending well though. Cleagen is trying to get back to full guard. Sawyer is working for a submission of some sort.
Cleagen is not content to let Sawyer control the position. Sawyer not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sawyer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cleagen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sawyer is trying to control Cleagen's posture but Cleagen avoids it. Sawyer is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cleagen off and has taken his back! Cleagen looking very determined here, making life difficult for Sawyer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sawyer working for the choke. Cleagen is taking damage to the body and head. Cleagen prevents Sawyer from getting a body triangle. Sawyer connects with a big shot to the side of Cleagen's head.

Sandor Cleagen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sawyer trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Cleagen doesn't escape. Sawyer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Sawyer tries to keep control of the position but Cleagen is staying busy. Sawyer working for a choke but Cleagen is defending well. Sawyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sawyer struggling to keep hold of the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Rex Sawyer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Sawyer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
