The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by jarvae.
Peppers avoids the head kick by jarvae.
jarvae throws and low kick but Peppers moves out of range easily.
jarvae motions for Peppers to come forward. jarvae throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
jarvae shoots in for a takedown but Peppers shows good takedown defense.
Peppers swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by jarvae.
Peppers blocks a jab.
jarvae fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Peppers checks it well.

A looping hook to the body misses from Peppers. jarvae does a little dance to reset his feet.

jarvae closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

jarvae works to advance to full mount. Peppers defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Julius Peppers.
