British Marching Tune - The British Grenadiers kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Russell!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujita closes this distance looking for a takedown but Russell circles away.
Fujita lands a nice hook to Russell's body. Russell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Russell throws a lazy right hand but Fujita sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fujita scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Russell thows a left - swing and a miss!
Horrible takedown by Fujita or perhaps it was just good defense by Russell which made him look bad.

Fujita changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Russell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Russell is trying to buck Fujita off.
Russell is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Fujita lands a few punches from side control.

Fujita has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Fujita landing strikes from the mount.
Fujita scoring with strikes but Russell is staying in there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fujita wants to control the pace but Russell is squirming around nicely.
Fujita is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fujita prevents Russell from getting the reversal.
Fujita is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Russell can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Russell really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Russell really wants to buck Fujita off and get back to his feet.

Fujita cracks Russell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Fujita has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fujita postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Russell looks a forlorn figure.
Russell is desperately trying to improve his position but Fujita has a good base and remains in mount.
Russell is bucking up trying to escape but Fujita cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Russell is still in real trouble! Can Fujita finish him?

Fujita loads up with a big shot that hurts Russell! He's pulled Fujita in close but Fujita has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Russell survive? More strikes from Fujita and Russell is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
