PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adh Dah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Spade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adh Dah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Spade!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dah can pounce on him.
Spade avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spade crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Dah - the referee stops the clock and Spade gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Dah. Spade manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dah.
Spade takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Spade swinging wilding here.
Spade shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dah counters with a good, hard body kick but Spade shrugs it off.
Spade looks gassed!
Nice cross by Dah.

Dah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spade working to try and regain half guard.
Dah wants to control the pace but Spade is squirming around nicely.
Dah controlling his opponent.
Spade is squirming around, avoiding Dah's attempts to control the action.
Dah knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spade on the ground.
Spade is trying desperately to improve position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dah trying to control but Spade is having none of it.
Dah controlling the position easily from mount.
Spade is squirming around, avoiding Dah's attempts to control the action.
Spade is looking to get to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
BOOM! Dah connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dah wants to control the pace but Spade is squirming around nicely.
Spade is trying desperately to improve position.
Spade is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spade slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Spade gets back to full guard.
Spade is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dah is trying to control but can't.

Spade is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dah won't allow Spade to pass to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Spade wants to work for an arm triangle but Dah is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dah wants to get back to full guard.
Spade trying to mount his opponent but Dah defends it.
Spade throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Dah has one foot on Spade's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Dah scores with a nice body kick.

Dah gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dah gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Spade regains guard.
Spade looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Spade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dah doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Spade is tightening it up a little... Dah has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dah reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dah taps out! nice BJJ there by Spade!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Scott Spade!
