1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Neville Davis! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michaels shoots in and drives through. Davis sprawls well. Davis instigates a clinch. Davis is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Davis lands an elbow just above Michaels 's eye.
It looks like Kevin Michaels has been cut. Davis lands a nice uppercut. Davis is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Michaels tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Davis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Michaels sprawling to the canvas! Michaels rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Davis finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Davis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Michaels is breathing heavily. Michaels misses with an uppercut. Davis saw that one coming. Michaels keeps the fight on the outside. Davis stuffs the takedown attempt from Michaels. Michaels gets slowly back to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Davis lands with a right to the head. Davis landing knees to the head.
Michaels is trying to stall.

Michaels throws a half hearted mid kick. Neville Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Davis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Michaels, pushing him back against the cage. Davis lands an uppercut. Davis pressing his opponent against the cage. Davis breaks the clinch.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Michaels. Michaels keeps the fight on the outside. Davis digs a good body shot into Michaels's ribs. Davis pushes Michaels up against the cage in a clinch. Davis leaning his opponent against the cage. Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Davis throws a nice inside leg kick. Davis forces Michaels back against the cage and clinches. Davis breaks from the clinch.

Davis scores with a sloppy right hand. Michaels should have avoided that one. Davis rushes Michaels and presses him up against the cage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Davis takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Davis continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Davis lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Michaels takes a shot to the head. Michaels is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Davis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A short right from Davis on the inside. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Davis manages to break the clinch.
Michaels throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Davis clinches up against the cage. Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Davis closes the distance and pushes Michaels back into the cage. Davis is struggling to control the position. Davis gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Michaels.
Davis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Davis throws a right and a left that Michaels avoids nicely. Michaels closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davis to the mat! Davis manages to get full guard. Davis is pulling down on Michaels's head to control his posture. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Michaels throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Neville Davis dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kevin Michaels's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Michaels throws a body kick the misses and Davis moves into the clinch. Davis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Davis lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Michaels. Michaels takes an elbow to the forehead. Davis stalling against the cage.
Davis lands a right hand. Davis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Michaels is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Davis dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Davis lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Michaels tries for a takedown. No joy.

Neville Davis seems to be getting the better of the standup. Davis rushes Michaels and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Davis lands with a big left! Michaels is wobbled badly! Davis comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Michaels to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
