PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reece Edward Duenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duenas comes to the cage accompanied by California Gurls. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Reece Edward Duenas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Clark!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark misses with a series of wild punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Clark looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Clark tries to bum rush Duenas with a series of wild strikes but Duenas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Clark throws a nice looking combination but Duenas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Clark misses with a straight left.
Duenas blocks a jab.
Duenas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Clark dips to his left and cracks Duenas with an uppercut!

Duenas is looking for a sweep. Clark is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Clark seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Duenas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Duenas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Clark circles away.
Clark rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Duenas moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Duenas shoots in for a takedown but Clark shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Reece Edward Duenas will probably get the nod.

Clark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Clark is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Duenas can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Duenas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
