Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Fighetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Priste!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Fighetti.
Priste fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fighetti lands a nice hook to Priste's body. Priste takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Priste closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Fighetti has had enough of the clinch but Priste keeps him there for the moment.
Fighetti tries to break the clinch but Priste is controlling the position.
Priste has Fighetti pressed against the cage, preventing Fighetti from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Priste content to slow the pace in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighetti looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Fighetti wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fighetti can't break the clinch.
Priste has Fighetti pushed against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Marcus Priste.

Priste closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Priste lands in his opponent's guard.
Priste sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fighetti's guard.
Fighetti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Priste on the ground.
Priste slows the pace down in half guard.
Priste thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Priste is looking to pass Fighetti's guard but actually Fighetti recovers to full guard.
Pristeis looking to pass into half guard but Fighetti pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Fighetti is in guard.
Fighetti wants to get up but he can't break Priste's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Priste can do anything to dispel that myth.
Priste is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Priste not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighetti is trying to get back to full guard.
Priste passes to side control.
Priste trying to control the position but Fighetti is working away.
Priste cracks Fighetti with a big elbow.
Priste wants to control but Fighetti is keeping him busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fighetti parries the strikes from Priste easily there. Priste is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fighetti to escape.
Fighetti is breathing heavily.
Priste controls the position from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Priste dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fighetti takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Priste fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fighetti sprawls well initially but Priste persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Priste landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Priste looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Priste sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Fighetti defending well though.
Priste uses his free foot to push down on Fighetti's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fighetti.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fighetti is rocked!
Fighetti takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Priste's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Priste!
