Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giuseppe Omni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman comes into the arena with Crash by Decyfer Down blaring out of the sound system. Omni has chosen Search and Destroy as his entrance music. Tommy Redman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Giuseppe Omni's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Redman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Giuseppe Omni! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Omni lands with a thumping leg kick.
Omni pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Omni looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Redman! Omni in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Omni controlling his opponent. Omni goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Redman turns into him and now he's in Omni's guard.
Redman has gone for a leg lock! Omni slips out almost immediately though and dives into Redman's guard. Omni passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redman is pressing down on Omni's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Redman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Omni doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Omni manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Omni landing with the ground and pound. Omni throws a big right hand that misses. Redman keeping full guard, as Omni tries to pass. Redman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Omni can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Omni wants to stand but Redman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Omni throwing strikes from guard but Redman blocks nicely. Omni postures up and lands a big shot to Redman's brow. Omni gets to his feet. Redman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Omni plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Omni tries to close the distance and clinch but Redman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Omni does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Omni misses with an uppercut. Redman saw that one coming. Omni lands a nice leg kick that just misses Redman's sensitive parts. Omni fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Redman, pushing him back against the cage. Redman takes an elbow to the forehead. Redman takes a knee to the side of the body. Redman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Omni smiles and moves away.

Omni looks to land a right hand but Redman moved out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Omni. Omni misses with a low kick.
Redman has his takedown stuffed and Omni counters by moving into the clinch. Omni tries a knee to the head but Redman blocks it.
Omni scores with an uppercut up the middle. Omni tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Redman avoids it. Omni lands a knee to the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Omni.
Omni lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Redman backwards. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Omni presses Redman against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Redman jumps guard but Omni stands there with Redman around his waist. Redman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Omni. Redman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Redman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Giuseppe Omni is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Omni moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Omni stuns Redman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Redman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Omni. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Redman walks into a stiff left hand from Omni. Redman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Redman gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Omni. Omni feints and then cracks Redman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Redman down.

Omni buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Omni changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Omni moves into range and clinches up with Redman. Omni landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Omni throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Omni throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Omni comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Tommy Redman has been cut. Omni lands a left hand.
Omni lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Redman. Omni's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Omni dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Redman. That did some damage!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Omni throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Redman. Omni fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Redman chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Omni can pounce on him.
Redman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Omni counters with a thumping low kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Redman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Omni throws a quick inside leg kick. Omni gets a takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Omni drops an elbow to the side of Redman's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Omni is trying to control the action in half guard but Redman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Omni looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Redman wants to get back to full guard. Omni tries to stand but his arm is trapped. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Omni looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Omni controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Omni wants to stand and escape but instead Redman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Redman has gone for a leg lock! Omni slips out almost immediately though and dives into Redman's guard. Omni gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Omni takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Omni cracks Redman with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Redman with a lazy takedown attempt and Omni counters with a thumping low kick. Omni forces Redman back against the cage and clinches. Omni lands with a short head shot on the inside. Omni doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Omni comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. A short left from Omni. Redman is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Omni tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Omni shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Redman checks a leg kick. Redman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Omni manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Redman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Omni dives on top into guard.

Redman keeps the fight on the outside. Redman shoots and misses and Omni counters with a body kick. Omni with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Omni turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Omni manages to end up in side control. Omni decides to stand up, so the ref orders Redman to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Omni connects with a body shot.

Redman with a poor takedown enabling Omni to counter with a crisp jab. Omni lands with a right hand. Omni pivots, looking for a leg kick but Redman is out of range and Omni settles back down. Omni has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Omni connects with a solid leg kick. Redman sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Omni misses with a leg kick. Omni rushes Redman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redman pulls guard. Omni is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Omni tries to stand but Redman is controlling from the bottom. Omni won't allow Redman to sweep him here. Omni wanted to stand there but Redman had control of the position. Redman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Omni is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Omni is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Redman is looking for a triangle but Omni pushes his legs off easily.
Redman tries to land a sweep but no joy. Omni trying to control the position from guard on top but Redman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Redman has his foot on Omni's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Omni works his way back into a safe position though. Omni in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

And that's the end of the fight! Giuseppe Omni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Omni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
